About Dr. Alperin

Dr. Alperin is the proud owner and co founder of New View Eye Care. Along with her husband, Mark, she is honored to be joining the Berkley community and is excited to be the one stop for all your eye health and vision needs. 

Dr. Alperin’s Education

Dr. Alperin was born and raised in Farmington Hills. She is graduate of North Farmington High School as well as Michigan State University and The Ohio State University College of Optometry ( please don’t hold it against her!). Following optometry school, Dr. Alperin completed an extra year of residency specializing in Cornea, Contact Lens and Refractive surgery at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. 

Dr. Alperin  has had the honor of practicing in many settings including hospital and retail based optometry.  Most recently, Dr. Alperin loved working in private practice and her dream for New View came to life.

Dr. Alperin’s vision for New View Eye Care evolved from a review from a patient many years ago. The patient, following a comprehensive eye examination stated: “Dr. Alperin was fun, friendly and efficient.” It is Dr. Alperin’s core belief that a visit to the eye doctor should not be stressful. Being a patient is hard enough and it is the doctor’s job to reduce uncertainty, provide useful information that the patient can understand, and always put the patient first. 

When not attending to patients, Dr. Alperin can often be found at her son’s soccer games  (proud DCFC family!) or her daughters dance classes. She is a self proclaimed connoisseur of chocolate and is always on the hunt for a good coffee shop.
